Chance,
I never in a million years thought I would want a guy who smells like a tree and probably hugs them on the daily, but alas, you’ve somehow snuck your sexy, khaki-covered ass into my life. It doesn’t help that we’re stuck living in this apartment together for God knows how long, but I can’t stop thinking about that kiss. I know I said it was one and done, and maybe that’s the smart thing to do since I’m not convinced of your emotional availability. Maybe I’m a masochist. Or, maybe I might kind of like you. I said what I said.
No regrets, Marcos~

Marcos,
Your ability to simultaneously compliment and insult me is probably one of my favorite things about you. I think it’s part of your charm. Does that make me a masochist as well? I definitely like to torture myself. The night I kissed you, I knew it had the potential to push you away, but I couldn’t stop myself from wanting you. I still can’t. You can flirt and bully me all you like. I’m not going anywhere. I’ve finally found my home, and it’s here. And just in case you need me to be more specific, I like you too.
Forever, con amor…
Chance~
Forever, Con Amor is an interconnected, stand alone, slow burn, contemporary, MM opposites attract romance that is heavy on humor, light on angst, and features an age gap, a sexy yoga session, heels, and a few passive aggressive quips about cargo pants, hugging trees and kale.

Another great story in this series!
This was a second chance story, but with a bit of a twist and I loved it. I guess I didn’t read (or remember reading) the blurb because after reading the Prologue the story didn’t go quite the way I was expecting. The Prologue gives you information about what happened before Chance and Marcos get together and that’s all I’ll say about that. 😊
Marcos was kicked out of his home when he came out and had a rough time of it for a few years. He’s now volunteering at a center for LGBTQ+ youth where his best friend works. He loves to throw barbs at the center’s director who wears the kind of clothing that Marcos wouldn’t be caught dead in. Marcos loves fashion and designing clothes and wearing high-heels and make-up.
Chance once went from job-to-job, country-to-country, helping build houses for those in need. He finally decides to stay put and takes a job as director of an LGBTQ+ center in Atlanta where he can still be of service to others but stay mostly in one city. He doesn’t quite understand why Marcos is always sniping at him but he kind of likes it. When Marcos life is upended again, Chance steps in to help.
Forever, Con Amor can definitely be read as a standalone story (I haven’t read all of the previous books) but the stories are interconnected and characters from the previous books appear in this one. I loved all of the witty banter between Chance and Marcos. Much of it takes place while they are chatting via Instagram and text messages. My heart hurt for Marcos when things went badly for him near the beginning of the story but he proved to be a really strong character and didn’t let the hard knocks keep him down.
The chemistry between Chance and Marcos radiated off of the pages but this is definitely a slow-burn story. While the verbal bantering and sparks start early in the story things don’t get hot and heavy for quite a while and the build-up was worth the wait.
In the acknowledgements section at the back of the book the author indicates that this is the last book in the For Him series but she has also left things open for writing a spin-off series. I would really love to read more about some of the kids from the youth center. I think it would be great to read about some of the ones in this story getting their HEA.
