A thrilling series!
C F White has written a compelling drama. Each of the books in this series held my attention from beginning to end. Speaking of end, I must warn that this story won’t finish until the end of book three. Having said that, the series is complete and all books/audiobooks are available individually and the ebooks are also available as a boxed set (as of this writing).
Book 1, Fade to Blank: The blurb gives you the bare bones but it doesn’t convey the intense feelings that the story brought out. The intrigue and suspense are palpable. Jackson and Fletcher must work together to figure out what is going on.
I almost forgot to talk about the fantastic performance by Piers Ryman. The different voices he does for each character are fantastic – especially the one for Fletcher. I never had a bit of trouble following the story, or keeping track of who was speaking. I’m sure a lot of that was due to his performance as well as C F White’s great writing.
Book 2, Hide to Seek: Once again Piers Ryman did a fantastic job with his performance of this story. I love the accents he uses and, because each character voice was easily distinguished from the others, it greatly enhanced my enjoyment of this book.
The whole book was really great but from about Chapter 16 on I couldn’t listen to it fast enough. 😊 Fletcher and Jackson have fled to Ireland but trouble follows them there. They begin to put together the pieces of a much bigger puzzle than what they realized was happening.
Book 3, Bring to Light: A Thrilling Conclusion to the Series
I loved this series so much because of the fantastic writing but also because I love listening to Piers Ryman. His easily distinguishable character voices really enhanced the story for me.
The mystery and conspiracy turned out to be even greater than what Jackson and Fletcher suspected. This whole series was so captivating it’s hard to believe that it takes place over such a short period of time.
Once again, CF White has written a thrilling series that kept me on the edge of my seat until all was revealed. I look forward to reading many more exciting books from her.

Brought up in a relatively small town in Hertfordshire, I managed to do what most other residents try and fail—leave.
Studying at a West London university, I realized there was a whole city out there waiting to be discovered, so, much like Dick Whittington before me, I never made it back home and still endlessly searches for the streets paved with gold, slowly coming to the realization they’re mostly paved with chewing gum. And the odd bit of graffiti. And those little circles of yellow spray paint where the council point out the pot holes to someone who is supposedly meant to fix them instead of staring at them vacantly whilst holding a polystyrene cup of watered-down coffee.
I eventually moved West to East along that vast District Line and settled for pie and mash, cockles and winkles and a bit of Knees Up, Mother Brown to live in the East End of London, securing a job and creating a life, a home and a family.
Having worked in Higher Education for most of my career, a life-altering experience brought pen back to paper after I’d written stories as a child but never had the confidence to show them to the world. Having embarked on this writing malarkey, I cannot stop.
So strap in, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride…
