In a list of what’s most important to me, three things are right up there at the top. My kids, my husband Mack, and my career I’ve spent my life building. Unfortunately that career has me away from home more than I’d like, and when I refuse to walk away from it, my husband walks away from me instead.
Living together post-divorce makes sense for us, but it blurs the lines between what we were and what we have. Now that I’ve scored a big promotion and negotiated twelve long weeks at home, memories of our life together haunt me. They make me long for what we had. And now that Mack is moving on with someone else, I’m being faced with the cold truth. I should never have let Mack go, and now it might be too late to get him back.
Mack
Twelve weeks. It’s the longest Davey has been home since we had the kids, and all it does is remind me of everything I wish I still had. So I decide this is it. I have twelve weeks to remind Davey of everything he lost and hope like hell when I give him the choice between work and me again, that this time he chooses me.
None of my friends are on board with my plan, and the new guy in town is trying his hardest to win me over. But I can ignore cute notes slipped into my favorite books if it means getting back the man I’ll love forever.
All I need to do is remind him our life together was perfect.
Now if only our kids, our friends, and his work would get the memo…

A nice ending to a wonderful series.
I want to start out by saying that Forgotten Romance can be read as a standalone but you might enjoy it more if you’ve read the others in the series first. I began reading this book with my eyes but before I finished it the audiobook became available so I switched to listening to it. Nick J. Russo is such a great voice actor and I loved his performance of this story.
This book has so many feels and Nick J. Russo’s performance really captures all of them. Davey and Mack have been divorced for 2 years but they still live together because Davey isn’t home much and he wants to be with their children when he is. Their lives are pretty much in limbo and Mack wants to change that.
This story has secret admirer notes, a potential love interest for Mack that has Davey going nuts and lots of sweet time with their two kids. We also get to revisit the MCs from the previous books in this series as they help Mack with his plan to win Davey back.
This story didn’t seem too angsty to me and I suppose part of the reason for that is that the breakup had already occurred (although it’s recapped in the Prologue). I also knew that they would get their HEA so the various difficulties they went through during the story didn’t impact me as much as they might have otherwise.
I’m sorry to see the series end but this story was a very nice wrap up and I really enjoyed reading and listening to it.
