Evi Devine should be celebrating winning her case, instead she’s running for her life.
There’s only one place she can go. There’s only one person she trusts to help her.
And she doesn’t know if he’s still alive.
A hot summer Eleven years ago, Caleb and Evi spent three weeks falling in love knowing their time was finite.
Caleb’s never forgotten the woman who rocked his world. He didn’t know if he’d make it out of the military alive, but he did and now he plans on finding her.
Maybe they still have a chance.
Except Evi shows up in Rexville, on her own, on the run and needing help, and trouble not far behind her.
Queenside Castle is the exciting novella length prequel to the Rexville Secrets and Lies series. Queenside is dual POV, third person.

Great intro to a new series.
Pepper Bordeaux is a new pen name for Elle Keaton. Pepper writes M/F romantic suspense and Elle writes M/M, mostly romantic suspense. Whatever name she writes under I will read her books. While I read mostly M/M these days, I will also read M/F when a favorite author decides to write them.
This story has all of the things that I always look forward to in an Elle Keaton book – intrigue, suspense and hot, sexy time – so it was no surprise to find all of these same elements in her Pepper Bordeaux writing. Queenside Castle has many strong characters, including Evi; she just happens to need some help from a man she was close to many years ago.
Queenside Castle is a great second chance book. When Evi goes looking for Caleb, after eleven years, a part of her didn’t really expect to find him. When she ends up finding him it seems like it was fate. They reconnected like they hadn’t been apart at all. Caleb and his buddies are all former military special ops. They have come to back to their hometown of Rexville to start a security firm; they want to help the town’s economy.
Queenside Castle caught and held my attention from beginning to end. There is an HEA for Evi and Caleb but I was definitely left wanting to read the next book right now! LOL I think this promises to be a great series from Pepper Bordeaux.
Queenside Castle is currently free on all platforms; the series will be available in Kindle Unlimited.

Review: Single Dad Plus One by JJ Knight (Deanna Roy)
RomanceMy bride-to-be, Arianna, wants to meet my parents. But...they live in a trailer. Dad thinks Playboy T-shirts are classy because the naked women are silhouettes. Mom has a tattoo of a dog humping a palm tree. I don't think either one has said a sentence without an f-bomb since 1985.
