After taking early retirement, Liam is happy avoiding people and tending to his roses. Or he was, until young film star Felix moves in next door.
With his cheeky, persistent, and very naughty behaviour, Felix gets under Liam’s skin instantly.
Felix needs Liam to teach him how to behave, but will calling the older man Daddy be enough to bring sunshine into Liam’s life?
A boy Made of Sunshine is a standalone gay romance, with mild D/s play, Daddy kink, a cute Dalmatian puppy, a ridiculous glow in the dark toy, and lots of brattish behaviour.

I loved the book and I loved the audio.
I really enjoyed this book when I read it when it was first released back in June 2020. Dan Calley’s great performance allowed me to enjoy it even more the second time around when I listened to the audiobook. I admit that it took me a few books to get used to his accent (US gal here LOL) but once I did (several books ago) I became a fan.
There’s not much else I can add to what I said when I reviewed the book (see below).
A little bit kinky but so sweet!
Daddy/boy stories haven’t been among my favorites but I seem to have been reviewing a lot of them lately and they are growing on me. A Boy Made of Sunshine is one that I really enjoyed. It’s an age-gap story as well as a daddy kink one. I thought the writing was excellent and I loved that the author didn’t keep harping on the age difference between the two MCs.
There is so much humor and cuteness in this book that it kept me smiling the whole time I read it. Among the lightness there are a few pretty heavy spanking scenes. There’s no issue with consent, it’s given freely, but the spankings got just a bit intense for me in a couple of places. It wasn’t enough to make me want to stop reading, but it’s something to be aware of if this is a trigger for you.
I loved the way that Felix kept goading Liam, know full well that his behavior was bratty and would likely end up with him being punished – but that was usually what he was after. Liam is determined to teach Felix patience but it ends up becoming an exercise in patience for him as well because he wants Felix so much and the waiting is killing him.
I can’t forget to mention the cute Dalmatian puppy that Felix has. Liam acts like he doesn’t like the puppy but we soon learn that just the opposite is true; he falls for the dog just as much as he falls for Felix.

Colette’s personal love story began at university, where she met her future husband. An evening of flirting, in the shadow of Lancaster castle, eventually led to a fairytale wedding. She’s enjoying her own ‘happy ever after’ in the north of England with her husband, two beautiful children and her writing.
