Publisher: Self-Published
After suffering a traumatic childhood, Griffin is given a fresh start with foster parents who help him discover what it’s like to be loved, wanted, and protected.
Quincy has lived a comfortable life with his grandparents and the constantly changing faces of their foster children. Kids come and go and Quincy knows staying friendly yet unattached is best. But when scrawny, scared Griffin moves in, Quincy’s world is turned upside-down.
Griffin and Quincy have a shaky start, but soon they bond as best friends and eventually brothers. The hormone-filled teen years reveal an unanticipated attraction between the two.
Now in college, Griffin and Quincy set out to determine if the sexual tension brewing between them since high school is worth jeopardizing their nearly decade-long friendship. Will they lose everything they’ve found in each other, or will they seize the opportunity to turn their friendship into something even better?
Forever Better Together is an opposites attract, friends-to-lovers story, but it’s slightly more complicated than that.

A good story that spans a lot of years.
Forever Better Together is a story that has a lot of different tropes to it. It’s a little bit taboo (adopted brothers), it’s friends-to-lovers, it’s new adult (college age) and it’s also opposites attract.
I’m not crazy about what I call pseudo-incest stories (no blood relation) that beat the “taboo” element to death. Forever Better Together does mention the brother aspect of the story but it’s not the main focus and it doesn’t beat it to death. Overall, I would call this a fairly low-angst story. As I read, I kept waiting for something to happen that would break Quincy and Griffin up and was really relieved that it didn’t happen.
The blurb really tells you what you need to know about the book so take a look at it. One of the things I loved about the story was how supportive Quincy’s family was. They took Griffin in as a foster child and ended up adopting him. When Quincy and Griffin came out (not at the same time) Momma and Pops continued to love them both and later even encouraged their relationship.
I also like how realistically this author treats anal sex between Quincy and Griffin; they don’t just get right to it without going through certain preparation that isn’t mentioned in a lot of books. The fact that Quincy and Griffin really cared about and loved each other was really felt as I read the story.
Forever Better Together was enjoyable, kept my attention and caused a few tears to flow – a sure sign that it was a great story for me.

A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged children, and wondering how she and her husband of almost two decades have managed to not drive each other insane. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
