Cash By Garrett Leigh
Genre: Contemporary Romance, GLBTQ, MM
Released: January 22, 2019
Publisher: Fox Love Press
Series: Lucky, Book 2
Cover Design: Black Jazz Design
Cash is a car mechanic with a secret. Head down, sleeves up, he hides from the past as much as his shattered heart, until a reluctant stumble into a Tottenham bar ends in the one night stand of his dreams.
Hunt saboteur Rae can’t believe his luck when he wakes up the next morning. Cash is gorgeous, and the hottest hook up he’s ever had. He doesn’t expect to see him again, until a twist of fate lands him on Cash’s doorstep a few months later.
United by a cause that’s broken Cash before, they are drawn together. They have more in common than they ever imagined, but with Cash haunted by the past, and Rae so tangled in the present, it’s not long before love isn’t enough to keep them alive.

Such a different story from what I’ve read before; I loved it.
This book really tore me up in places. The things that happen to the sabs while they pursue their efforts to stop the hunting are just awful. Cash seemed like one of the most British stories I’ve ever read. I don’t mean that as a bad thing at all; I actually like reading stories that challenge me a bit to learn new words and terms. I am thankful, though, that I use an e-reader that makes it really easy to look up unfamiliar terms and words. ?
When Cash and Rae meet the first time neither of them knows that they have a bigger connection than just one night of hot sex. Their love story was complicated and emotional and I loved reading it. While Cash is the second book in the Lucky series (according to Goodreads) I didn’t feel lost at all and I haven’t read Lucky – yet. I say yet because after reading Cash I definitely want to read Lucky’s story. Fans of Lucky will be pleased with his and Dom’s appearance in Cash.
There are no graphic descriptions of animal cruelty in the book but you do understand what’s going on. There are actually more graphic descriptions of what happens to Rae and Cash but none was gratuitous, or unnecessary, in my opinion.
So, while parts of this story were a bit painful to read, because of what was happening, I’m really glad that I read it and I’m looking forward to reading the next one in the series.
