A great boxed set!
Wow, what a great set of stories. The first two novellas (On Broadway and Rookie Moves) are about Rocket/Keiffer and Riley and the third one (Transitions) is about Keiffer’s friend Tommy/Hector and Vincent. All three stories are both sweet and hot!
Rocket/Keiffer and Tommy/Hector worked the streets together as male prostitutes (Rocket and Tommy are their street names). Riley and Vincent are hockey players on opposing teams.
Keiffer and Riley’s two stories have a Pretty Woman vibe to them. Riley is totally taken with Keiffer when he sees him playing with a hockey stick and puck outside at a public rink but Keiffer gets away before Riley can approach him. When they meet again later Riley takes him home with him.
Things get off to a pretty rough start when Keiffer steals Riley’s wallet but when Keiffer is in trouble and turns to Riley, Riley can’t send him away. On Broadway is told from Riley’s perspective and Rookie Moves from Keiffer’s
The two stories have lots of feels and end up with a nice epilogue and HEA for Riley and Keiffer.
Vincent and Hector’s story is just as compelling as the first two. Vincent is a goalie and playing his last season before retirement; he’s not out as a gay man. Hector is working with Keiffer to help young LGBT people. The chemistry between them is hot but Hector’s been on his own for a long time and doesn’t believe in relationships and HEA’s.
All four of the men in these stories are great guys. They end up doing great things for the LGBT community. For shortish novellas these three stories sure pack a punch and hit me with lots of feels. I’m so glad that I read them.
