Bar and grille owner Cody Parker is the no-nonsense leader of a weekly gathering of the leather community—a powerful, respected man guaranteed to make all the bottom boys beg. He sees red at even the mere mention of Kennedy Marks.

Having escaped a terrifying childhood, Kennedy Marks is now a beloved Blueridge Junction police officer. Until recently, Kennedy has never questioned his role in intimate relationships. He knows Cody hates him, and the feeling is very much mutual.

Neither man can explain why they despise each other. But when an unexpected kernel of desire takes root in Kennedy’s mind, that ever-present animosity begins to waver. Can the two allow themselves to explore the reasons behind their hatred and cross that thin line between love and hate?

I’m so happy that Cody and Kennedy finally get their HEA.

After finishing the previous book in this series, Can’t Fight It, I’ve been dying to read Cody and Kennedy’s story. Bound to Fight can definitely be read as a standalone but the other books in the series are so great you really should read them.

Cody runs the B & B restaurant in Blueridge Junction. On Sunday’s the B & B is turned over to the leather crowd and it’s a place where like minded individuals can come and play and feel safe. He’s very proud of getting the local people to accept the Sunday activities at the B & B.

Kennedy is an officer on the local police force. For reasons they don’t even know, he and Cody have really disliked each other almost from the day that Kennedy first came to town. Kennedy is a frequent visitor to the B & B on Sundays.

Note: while this story has elements of BDSM I really wouldn’t call it a BDSM book. Cody and Kennedy play with each other but don’t have scenes in public, or with other people, and their play time is pretty mild compared to other stories I’ve read. I did learn about something new, though. I’d never read any stories that feature a cock cage until I read Bound to Fight; it was interesting.

The other “BJ Boys” think that the way Cody and Kennedy’s seem to hate each other is a cover to hide their real feelings. The guys take things into their own hands to force Cody and Kennedy to come to terms with their feelings and Cody and Kennedy are not happy at all!

It’s not a spoiler to say that Cody and Kennedy finally get their heads out of their asses and admit they have feelings for each other (this is a romance story after all and must have at least a HFN). What I won’t talk about is all of the things they go through with each other before they finally become enlightened. ?

The book had me laughing in places and crying in others – just what I like. A.D. Ellis has also provided her readers with a short epilogue for the series (yes, this is the final BJ book and I’m a bit sad about that) and I loved how it tied things up for the boys.

I’m not sure what A.D. has planned next but I’ve loved all of her M/M stories so far so I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.
