A fantastic fantasy story!
The Fire Trilogy By RJ Scott
Genre: Paranormal Romance, GLBTQ, M/M
Released: January 30, 2017
Publisher: Love Lane Books Ltd
The Fire Trilogy by RJ Scott includes all three books in one volume.
Kian is out for revenge, Darach wants his friends back, and Eoin is believed dead. These three friends, linked by blood, face a new world and find the kind of love they’d only ever dreamed about. With action, magic, adventure and guaranteed happy ever afters, follow their journey from their world to ours in the hope they can keep us safe.
Kian’s Hunter
Kian has crossed over from his world to ours to seek revenge. His plan is to kill the monster who murdered his Uncle. The same monster who used magic to escape to our world and is hiding here and growing in strength.
Regan Campbell is a hunter of Demons. The first son, of a first son, he is the one who protects this world from the monsters that no one else knows are here.
When Kian reaches this world, he knows Regan is the perfect man to fight alongside him, but Regan trusts no one.
It isn’t until they are facing death and a terrible evil that will be let loose, that Regan finally realizes he can trust another…his fated partner, Kian.
Darach’s Cariad
Darach Gravenor is a keeper of blue Fire. He is alone in his world and he wants to rescue his friend Kian from the horrors of the Other World.
Ceithin Morgan is Cariad. Strong with Ancient magic he teaches Darach that not all children’s fairy stories should be believed. Ceithin has his own reasons for helping Darach and shows Darach that there is magic that he never even knew existed.
They are living on borrowed time. Guardian knows what they are doing and he is coming for Ceithin. Darach and Ceithin have two choices — do they run, or do they make their stand together?
Eoin’s Destiny
Eoin is faced with the end of times.
With his friends at his side, can he rescue the prisoner that might hold the secrets to winning the battle between Cariad and City as well as the key to his heart?
His bond brothers, Kian and Darach, probably hate him for his necessary lie, two-thirds of the Council wants him dead, and the prisoner’s amber Fire is killing them both.
The third book in the Fire Trilogy discovers more old Guardians, ancient Cariad magik, and not least of all the other half of Eoin: Trystyn.

A fantastic fantasy story!
I used to think that I didn’t care for fantasy type stories until I read one by a favorite author who usually wrote in another genre. After reading The Fire Trilogy I’m beginning to believe that if an author writes well in one genre he/she can probably write just as well in others. The Fire Trilogy is the first non-shifter fantasy book I’ve read by RJ Scott and, like nearly everything else I’ve read by her, I loved it! I think because I’m not really used to reading this genre, it took me a little bit of time to get into the story but once I got there I was hooked and couldn’t put this down.
This set includes Kian’s Hunter, Darach’s Cariad and Eoin’s Destiny. I’m so glad that RJ Scott released these as a set because the stories must be read in order to fully understand what is going on. You can also save quite a bit by purchasing this set instead of the individual books.
I’m not going to take time to restate/paraphrase the blurb for this set, you can read that in the text above this review. I can tell you that this book totally captivated me and took me to another place. Ms. Scott has done a fantastic job of world building involving characters with varied abilities based on the color of their “fire.”
The story includes Demons (I really never thought I’d like reading about them) and Guardians and a sinister plot that includes kidnapping and torture (not terribly graphic in my opinion; it focuses more on the feelings of the one being tortured). The sexy time in this story is pretty hot, too. (smile)
Each separate book took me deeper and deeper into the overall story. Ms. Scott’s writing painted a rich description of a parallel world that I wouldn’t mind visiting. The story has a more than satisfying conclusion but I wouldn’t mind reading a follow-up to let us know how things are going a few years down the road.
