I loved reading more about Ethan and Wyatt.
Boyfriend Material By K.A. Mitchell
Genre: Contemporary New Adult GLBTQ MM Romance
Released: August 15, 2016
Publisher: Carina Press
Series: Ethan & Wyatt, Book 2
Physically, it’s easy for Ethan and Wyatt to be together—well if “easy” means stolen moments when Ethan’s roommate is away, or sneaking away to a hidden nook in the library. Privacy is hard to come by in a dorm, but finding ways to connect is half the fun. Emotionally, though, that’s a different story. Wyatt isn’t sure if a relationship is something he can make last—years of having to hide his emotions have left him with a shaky sense of self-confidence. And when it’s time to head home for the holidays, their steamy on-campus connection may not translate so well to the real world…

I loved reading more about Ethan and Wyatt.
We met Ethan and Wyatt in Getting Him Back. While that book had an HFN author K.A. Mitchell has come up with another taste for us in Boyfriend Material. Like the first story, I enjoyed this one a lot. Unlike the first one, though, this one felt a bit more like a cliffhanger which I usually don’t like. A third and final book is promised for spring of next year. While you could probably read Boyfriend Material as a stand-alone I really think you should read Getting Him Back first. It’s a great book and will give you a lot of background that will enhance your enjoyment of Boyfriend Material.Getting Him Back was told from Ethan’s point of view (POV) but Boyfriend Material is told from Wyatt’s. Wyatt never really had much to say in Getting Him Back so I thought it was a great choice to have him tell this story. We get a lot more insight into the backgrounds of both characters and I think it helped me to understand them better, especially Wyatt.
Wyatt had it rough growing up and that definitely affects the way he reacts to Ethan’s desire to introduce him to his family. Boyfriend Material pretty much centers on that theme – how Wyatt and Ethan function when they are not at college.
Like book 1, this story was really HOT! The physical chemistry between the two characters is never in doubt. Ethan’s desire to make things easier when Wyatt meets his family backfires, though and their relationship is jeopardized.
As someone on the far side of 50, I’m still kind of amazed at how much I enjoy reading NA (new adult) stories about college life and personal relationships. Ms. Mitchell does this genre extremely well. While I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for the next and final book in Wyatt and Ethan’s story I can’t wait to read it. I’ll definitely be reading more books by this author.

K.A. Mitchell discovered the magic of writing at an early age when she learned that a carefully crayoned note of apology sent to the kitchen in a toy truck would earn her a reprieve from banishment to her room. Her career as a spin-control artist was cut short when her family moved to a two-story house, and her trucks would not roll safely down the stairs. Around the same time, she decided that Chip and Ken made a much cuter couple than Ken and Barbie and was perplexed when invitations to play Barbie dropped off. She never stopped making stuff up, though, and was surprised to find out that people would pay her to do it. Although the men in her stories usually carry more emotional baggage than even LAX can lose in a year, she guarantees they always find their sexy way to a happy ending.
