A writer’s convention at a haunted hotel gives author Jordan Kyle the perfect chance to do research for her next book. While ghost hunting through the century-old halls, she never expects to really find one. But when her sleep is filled with erotic dreams and the starring sex god shows up in the lobby the next day, she’s not sure if he’s real or a ghost with otherworldly desires.

Pragmatic cyber security consultant Aiden Flannery only believes in what he can see and hear and touch. But his dreams are invaded by a sexy redhead and her seductive peach scent tantalizes him by day. He catches the merest glimpse of her everywhere he goes then she’s gone, like a whisper in the wind.

Are there supernatural forces at work? Or is it their imagination? They only know, whether awake or asleep, these ghostly seductions are hot, hot, hot and they want more.

Short, Sweet, & Seductive

I love ghost stories. I was the kid hiding under the covers reading Alfred Hitchock with a flashlight. Alas, my taste has evolved and I no longer need to scare the bejesus out of myself. These days I love my romance. Add in some ghostly mystery and I’m a happy camper. So I was excited to read Ghostly Seduction because it has both elements. A romance set in historic San Antonio, at the Menger hotel, which is rumored to be haunted.

Jordan and Cait are authors who have just arrived at the Menger for the Texas Romance Writers conference. Jordan is especially excited to be staying at this hotel because she believes in the possibility of ghosts and figures this is the place she might see one. Cait is a skeptic, so the banter between them about the subject is fun. When the fragrance of sandalwood wafts around Jordan while they’re in the lobby and bar, she’s intrigued and desperately wants to find the source. Each time, though, she seems to only catch a glimpse of a tall dark man.

Aiden Flannery is in San Antonio to meet with a new client. He’s heard the rumors about the Menger being haunted but doesn’t put much stock in that stuff. However, the fragrance of peaches and fleeting glimpses of a redhead beauty continue to invade his thoughts. Each time he thinks he’s found her, she disappears into thin air.

For two nights in a row, Aiden and Jordan each experience some mighty erotic dreams featuring their elusive beauty and hunk, respectively. Was it merely a dream or was there a ghost involved?

I liked Ghostly Seduction. However, at 40 pages there is just no time to develop the characters or the story. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this story. There is absolutely nothing spectacular about it either. It was entertaining, well written, and the two sex scenes were spicy. Bottom line is, this is something fun to read when you have 30 minutes to kill and don’t want to get involved in a book you can’t put down.
