Lex can’t stand Theo. Theo thinks Lex is a dick. Except one dating app mishap is about to bring them so much closer together.
Theo
I’ve dated every shade of shitty guy imaginable, yet I keep boyfriending them. Mostly because my empty house doesn’t align with the happily-ever-after fantasies I’ve had since I was a kid.
No more.
After my last boyfriend cheated on me, I’m flings only, even if temptation dangles my way. And when Lex shows up to fix my wiring issue, he’s pure temptation—at least until he decides to randomly hate my guts. Luckily, the sexy guy I’m talking to on the CoffeeDates app is the perfect chance for a one-night stand—no drama, no betrayal, and most importantly, no boyfriending.
Lex
I avoid rich assholes at all costs. One broken engagement later, I learned they’ll never stick around for blue collar guys like me. Even though Theo flips my switches, the holier-than-thou upper-class attitude is enough that I’m keeping my distance.
Until I find out the guy I’ve been falling hard for over the dating app is none other than Theo.
All that chemistry between us explodes, and one night turns into another and then another.
But he’s not looking for a boyfriend, and I am—and there’s only so long this can last before one of us ends up brokenhearted.
Hot Conduit is a high heat, low angst M/M enemies to lovers romance with goat yoga, edging, and far too much snark that reads as a standalone.

Hot as fire!
I loved Theo and Lex; the chemistry between them is great. They are so attracted to each other when they first meet but Lex mistakes Theo’s germaphobia for snootiness and is totally turned off because of his experience with his well-to-do ex-finance. Theo can’t understand why Lex turned so frosty all of a sudden after the way they seemed to connect at first. He’s had very bad luck with boyfriends and he doesn’t need to get involved with another nasty guy.
Hot Conduit is a low angst, sweet story with hot as fire sexy time between Theo and Lex. Even though they got off to such a bad start they agree to have a casual, but exclusive, relationship. Lex is turned on by the submissive vibes he gets from Theo and Theo loves the way that Lex takes control. As a big guy, Theo is used to guys wanting him to take control and that’s the opposite of what he wants.
Both Theo and Lex want a lasting relationship – they just don’t think it will happen with each other.
Hot Conduit can easily be read as a standalone but I’m glad I read Sweat Connection first. It was nice to visit with the gang from that book and I really liked how Cole’s dad treated Lex in Hot Conduit.

Katherine McIntyre is a feisty chick with a big attitude despite her short stature. She writes stories featuring snarky women, ragtag crews, and men with bad attitudes—high chance for a passionate speech thrown into the mix. As an eternal geek and tomboy who’s always stepped to her own beat, she’s made it her mission to write stories that represent the broad spectrum of people out there. Easily distracted by cats and sugar.
