Celebrate a very geeky Christmas in this sexy fake dating romance…
The last time Jay saw Leo was on his knees at his cousin’s wedding.
The hookup had been hot, memorable, and they’d gone their separate ways in the morning.
However, when Leo moves to the Bay area right as Jay’s getting over a shitty ex, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Jay’s a shy geek while Leo’s outgoing and charming, but their chemistry flares brighter than a lights display. Except Jay’s hesitant to dive right into something new, and his ex left a minefield of broken Christmas obligations in his wake. Until the perfect solution presents itself—Leo can attend as Jay’s fake boyfriend.
The more time they spend together, the more the relationship feels real, but it just might take a little holiday magic to get them to both take the leap.
Roll the dice on romance at Tabletop Tavern…

Sweet with plenty of heat!
Merry Critmas (yes, that is spelled correctly) is a fun novella set in the world of Katherine McIntyre’s Dungeons and Dating series. It works fine as a standalone, with characters from the D&D series only making appearances as kind of background characters.
Jay has just been left by his boyfriend of a few years and he’s feeling vulnerable. He’s trans and still has some body dysphoria and his ex leaving him didn’t help any. Leo has just moved to the Bay area, leaving his high-stress corporate job behind to become part owner of a café where he does what he loves to do: bake bread and other treats.
These two are so hot together that the chemistry radiated off the page. I haven’t read very many trans romance stories but I thought this one was very well done. I absolutely loved everything about it except for one thing. One key scene where Leo did something that shook Jay’s confidence was never really addressed and I thought the story ended a bit too abruptly. There’s definitely an HEA feeling but an epilogue would have been welcomed. I still recommend this very enjoyable story.

Katherine McIntyre is a feisty chick with a big attitude despite her short stature. She writes stories featuring snarky women, ragtag crews, and men with bad attitudes—high chance for a passionate speech thrown into the mix. As an eternal geek and tomboy who’s always stepped to her own beat, she’s made it her mission to write stories that represent the broad spectrum of people out there. Easily distracted by cats and sugar.
