Returning to Love’s Harbour to claim his inheritance, Alex has only one aim: to consign his ancestral home to history.
Alex has spent the past twenty years building his wealth and reputation as a ruthless businessman, developing luxury, prestigious homes. The New House is a project like no other. Ripe for conversion, he can destroy the past as effectively as he can the bricks and mortar before he turns his back and walks away forever. But Alex hasn’t reckoned on the villagers of Love’s Harbour — or the burly young barman from the local pub.
Life is good for Ryan. Love’s Harbour may be small, but it’s a community with a big and vibrant beating heart. It’s the perfect place to live, and Ryan wants to make sure it stays that way. But all that could change if the arrogant, frosty — and smoking hot — owner of the New House gets his way.
Alex’s vision will destroy the village. Ryan’s determined that can’t happen. Thrust into the unlikely role of spearheading the opposition, Ryan has to stand up not only to the risk Alex poses, but also to something far more dangerous: the threat to his own heart.
From the moment Alex and Ryan meet, attraction sparks. But they face each other across an unbridgeable divide. Both are determined to get what they want at any cost, yet the one thing they want more than anything is each other.
A steamy enemies to lovers MM romance. A touch of angst, a pinch of humour, and lots of heart. HEA guaranteed.

Such a good story!
Hearts Colliding is a great enemies-to-lovers story. Alex grew up in Love’s Harbour but he left when he was eighteen and hasn’t been back until now. He has very few fond memories of the town and many more that give him reason to hate it. We gradually learn why Alex wants to destroy his family home and the reasons made me want to hug him gently to comfort him.
Ryan’s family runs the local pub in Love’s Harbour. When he finds out what Alex intends to do to the town he gathers the village residents to rally against what Alex proposes. He never expected to feel such a strong connection to Alex. Once they acknowledge their attraction they agree to exist in a bubble when they’re together and not discuss anything related to the plans that Alex has for the town.
Ryan and Alex spend a lot of time getting to know one another while still keeping their relationship a secret. I truly felt the connection between these two. They need each other more than either of them wants to admit and there were several times that the things they shared with each other made my eyes leak.
Of course, we know that their vow to keep the relationship a secret will eventually backfire on them and boy did it ever. I really wondered how Ali Ryecart was going to pull off getting them back together but I knew she would manage it.
I love the supporting characters in this series and it was fun to visit with those that appeared in the first book, Animal Instincts. You can easily read Hearts Colliding as a standalone but I urge you to also read Animal Instincts because it is a really great book.
I’m not sure if there will be another book in this series or not but Alex has a friend who is mentioned at the end of Hearts Colliding that I think might need to get a story.

I used to tell my stories to myself, now I tell them to the world…
The stories I only ever told to myself took place in a world where it was boy meets boy, where best friends became more, where the hero didn’t save the damsel but the hot guy he’d been secretly crushing on.
I wanted to read those stories. I craved to read those stories. But those stories weren’t out there. Or that’s what I thought… Until one Christmas, when I unwrapped a shiny new e-reader. All it took was a few clicks, and my world changed forever.
I found my tribe.
But there is life outside of MM & gay romantic fiction in all its configurations. Allegedly.
When I’m forced to switch off the trusty, faithful word machine, there’s a husband to feed and talk to, pubs to drink in, and cake to eat. I love to do all those things and more, before I rush back to write all the words.
I’m a Londoner, born and bred and even though I now live just outside of the big bad city, I’m close enough to hop on a train so I can get my regular metropolitan fix.
