Alex
I’m the starting quarterback for the Portland Pirates, and I have a thing for my son’s teacher. Except I didn’t know the cute blonde on the beach with the giant dog was, in fact, my kid’s teacher until two months later at Open House.
Christian took my breath away during the second week of my two-week vacation at the beach and introduced me to things I never knew could feel so good and be so right. I think he just might be the one who inspires me to tell the world that this NFL quarterback is bisexual and in love with a man.
That is until I blew the best thing to happen to me since my kids were born. All I know is I have to get him back. I had to find a way to keep him.
Christian
I never imagined I would meet the love of my life while being bowled over on the beach by the overeager Newfoundland I was dog-sitting. But that’s exactly how I ended up on my back in the sand, wrapped in his arms and pressed into the sand by the six-foot-five dark-haired Adonis on the beach. Did I mention he had two beautiful children?
Our week together was worthy of a sexy modern-day fairytale full of promises about the future until he sent me the text that broke my heart. And how was I supposed to get over him when his adorable six-year-old son was in my class?
Find out how Alex and Christian ache to overcome some daunting complications to reunite in The Quarterback Keeper, Book One of The Package Deal Series.
Available to borrow with Kindle Unlimited.
What the hell had just happened? One minute, I was playing fetch with my dog; the next, I had my arms wrapped around the most beautiful man I’d ever seen, trying to protect him from the onslaught of their excitement.
Christian was cocooned in my arms, and the familiar tingling had returned at the mere touch of his skin. My mouth was only inches from his, and his eyes were blue pools of… pain? What the fuck?
“Oh, god,” I rasped, “are you okay?”
I untangled myself from him by gently rolling us onto our sides. Much to my utter horror, my lonely dick decided this was a good moment to become an iron shaft and press itself into his stomach. Mortified was not a strong enough word to describe how I felt about the situation.
“Uhh, I don’t know. My wrist is really hurting,” he replied, tears welling in his eyes. Even as he bit down on his lips to stop them from falling.
“Oh god, I’m so sorry. I tried to catch you from falling when the horses came running through,” I said, trying to use humor to make him forget about my driftwood poking him in the stomach. Damn, he smelled good. Would he taste as good?
Focus Alex! The man is hurt, for fuck sake.
“Don’t make me laugh,” he chuckled, but his brow was scrunched up. Clearly, he was still obviously in pain as he sat up once I had removed myself from pancaking him.
“Can I see it? I’ve had an injury or two like that in the past.” Christian pulled his arm from his chest and slowly lowered it into my waiting hands. The familiar tingling returned as I carefully studied it as if I were an orthopedic surgeon. Of course, I wasn’t, so I had no idea what was wrong with him.
“I don’t think it’s broken, but with bones in the wrist, you never know for sure without an x-ray,” I said gently, running my thumbs over the uninjured part of his skin.
“It hurts like hell.” He winced. “I’ll be okay. Just need some ice on it.”
“I think you should see a doctor. I’ll take you to the Urgent Care in town,” I said as I stood and waited to help him from the sand. I looked over to find both dogs lying in the sand, watching us like a tennis match. At least I wouldn’t have to corral them.
“It’s okay, Alex. I just need some ice on it and maybe some ibuprofen. I’ll be fine,” he tried to reassure me. I almost let it go until I saw him flinch and pull his knees to his stomach when what had to be a bolt of pain radiated up his arm.
Yeah, there was no way I was letting him go without getting checked out.

Rheland Richmond
For as long as she can remember Rheland’s had her nose stuck in a book, getting lost in the world of someone else’s creation (She still does). Her love for writing came from her love for reading. She could never have one without the other.
Writing has always been a hobby and a cathartic experience for her. There are many stories lost to the never to be completed or published pile but needed to be written at the time.
She’s just a girl that loved stories so much she wrote hers.
Rheland would love to hear from her readers and learn more about Y’all. So if you get a chance… please get in touch.

Emerson Beckett:
Who is Emerson Beckett? That’s a good question.
I’m a retired educator who loves all things romance and an avid reader and consumer of well-written M/M romance books.
My journey to becoming an author started with an idea I had one night while I sat reading on my sofa. That idea became an email that ultimately resulted in me editing for three wonderfully talented M/M romance authors. The third referral led to an opportunity to co-write with one of the most genuine and kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. (She’s my co-author for Quarterback Keeper.)
I’m a wife and a mother of three beautiful adults, one of which is trans and responsible for my love of this genre. All three have since left us with an empty nest that is now full of pets.

Review: As I Am by A. M. Arthur
GLBTQ RomanceThis was such a hard book to read in some ways but it was also inspiring to read how these two young people work hard to confront their personal demons.
