When you see the world through the eyes of a child, there’s magic everywhere.
And crumbs. Lots of crumbs…
But that’s not going to stop Mike and Bryn Kneller from traveling with their nephew Liam at their side. Not that deciding to take the lad to visit Bryn’s homeland was an easy decision for the two recently wedded men despite how much they adore the boy. This trip was supposed to be a romantic anniversary trip after all.
However, life, as it does, tends to lead us down a path of its own choosing. Combining an unexpected announcement from a family member with the not-so-subtle pleadings of Bryn’s parents, the decision was made. With lots of hand sanitizer and a heaping helping of patience, the journey begins, leading Bryn and Mike to discover a great deal about themselves, their marriage, and their plans for the future.

I really love this series!
I think the books in this series just keep getting better and better. This one has a little bit of everything. I literally laughed out loud in places (traveling with a kid on an airplane – OMG this part was so funny). There were also places that made me sad and things that made me angry.
I loved the descriptive writing about Mike and Bryn’s trip to visit his parents in Germany. While they hadn’t planned to take Liam with them, they adjusted their plans and the trip turned out to be a great experience for everyone – including Bryn’s parents and his grandmother; everyone loved Liam.
The closeness of family and friends was a major theme in this story. It was wonderful to read how they rallied around someone who was being bullied. It would be nice if real life could always be like that.
The World According to Liam didn’t really have a cliffhanger ending but it was open ended and made me wish that the next book was available now. It’s a good thing I have lots of other books to read between now and July! 😊
Note: I should mention that this series is best enjoyed in order but I also think you could probably read this one and not feel totally lost. However, I bet it will make you want to go read the others if you do start with this one.

V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, yoga, belly laughs, walking, reading and writing lusty tales, Greek mythology, Torchwood and Dr. Who, the New York Rangers, comic books, and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a pair of geese, far too many chickens, and two steers.
When not writing spicy romances, she enjoys spending her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in one hand and a steamy romance novel in the other.
