A snowy cabin with one bed? That’s only the first step toward Gideon falling in love.
Gideon is too old to be fought over at Christmas by divorced parents who should know better. The prospect of a Christmas on his own is better than having to face either of them. When Rowan hires him for a wintery break in Maine, it seems like a safe choice until his PA’s meddling family shows him something entirely new: Love.
Rowan hiring his boss for a trip back to his moms’ place for Christmas sounded like a good idea at the time. Killing two birds with one stone, he can cheer up Gideon and possibly steal a kiss under the mistletoe. After all, he’s been hiding his attraction to the man for years, and maybe with some Christmas magic, he can help Gideon see what is right under his nose.

I loved Gideon and Rowan; such as sweet story!
I’ve enjoyed all of the books in this series but this one is now my favorite. I’m a sucker for boss/employee stories and I also enjoy reading books about older guys; Gideon ticks both of those boxes for me.
Gideon is kind of the typical grumpy boss while Rowan is the PA who keeps him on track and sane. There’s a spark of something between them but neither will admit it or act on it, until… Rowan hires Gideon to come home with him for Christmas.
Rowan knows that Gideon needs to get away from it all thinks that taking him home to be with his boisterous family for Christmas will be just what he needs. He didn’t count on his moms thinking that they were more than friends and putting a king-sized bed in the cabin they are sharing.
As Gideon begins to relax and spend more time with Rowan, he realizes that Rowan is much more than a PA to him. But before they can move forward Gideon has to tell Rowan about his past.
Gideon is full of all kinds of feels and it’s a nice slow-burn story with a perfect Christmas-y feel to it. There’s a cute cat and several cute dogs that prove to be irresistible and I loved every minute of reading this book. We get just a glimpse of Jared, the MC in the next book in the series, and I can’t wait to read it.
