“There’s no time. Remember your imaginary lover….”
Cory Caldwell woke up by the side of the road with no memory of how he got there. He pieces together who he is but has no idea what happened to him.
Dark visions haunt him—flashes of blood, magic, and a brutal fight. Scorching dreams of a faceless lover offer no clues. His gut warns that something urgent is eluding him, and that time is running out. Worse is the sense of bone-deep grief, as if Cory is missing part of his soul.
Desperate for answers, he hops a bus for Fox Hollow, a town famous for psychics, mediums, and those with supernatural abilities. Then a stranger calls Cory by name and casts a furtive glance around him. “There’s no time,” the man says. “I need your help. Remember…” Can Cory unlock his missing memories and rescue the stranger before it’s too late?
Imaginary Lover is full of dangerous magic, hurt/comfort, brave monster hunters, dark curses, sincere psychics, found family, and forever love.
Imaginary Lover is the eighth book in the multi-author series, Beyond the Realm: Remember. Each book is set in its own world and can be read as a standalone novel. Join eight authors on eight very different, romantic, and magical stories as each one writes their own take on the same concept.

Wow! Grabbed me and didn’t let go.
I used to think that I wouldn’t like urban fantasy books or books with monster hunters, witches and psychics, then I read a book by Morgan Brice. That was a year or so ago and I’ve been reading her books ever since.
Imaginary Lover is part of a series – Beyond the Realm: Remember – where the books are only connected by the theme of “remember.” In addition, Imaginary Lover takes place in the same world as Huntsman, the first book in her Fox Hollow series which came out earlier this year. Characters from that book, and others from her various series, appear in Imaginary Lover but the story stands on its own just fine.
This book really felt like it was much longer – in the best way. The main gist of the story is two soul mates being separated by a powerful spell – one of them left here on earth and the other in the unknown.
I loved how people in the town of Fox Hollow were willing to come to the aid of a stranger. The town is full of psychics, witches and shifters so none of them batted an eye when Cory told them his nearly unbelievable story.
This is a book that grabbed me and held on right from the start. As well as having lots of mystery and intrigue, it’s HOT. Some of the things that Cory does to save his soul mate, Max, were pretty intense. I don’t know if they are all based on fact or lore, or if they are strictly creations from the mind of Morgan Brice. In any case, this was a fantastic story and I’m ready to read more books set in this world.
