Who can resist a cute puppy?
Love Finds a Home is the third book in the Home in Hollyridge series but easily stands alone. I love books of this length; it’s perfect for finishing in one evening. While this is a novella length story Elle manages to pack a lot of character information into it; something that doesn’t always happen with this length of book.
Wyatt has been in love with Bennett since they first met but he was only eighteen at the time and Bennett thought Wyatt was too young for him. Wyatt has never stopped hoping that he would someday get Bennett to care for him. When he finds an abandoned puppy by the side of the road it gives him the perfect opportunity to try and worm his way into Bennett’s life.
I loved how Bennett was unable to resist the puppy, Wicket, and how Wyatt’s efforts to involve himself in Bennett’s life finally allowed Bennett to realize that he was worth loving. Bennett’s parents were not-so-nice people but they loosened up a bit in the end.
I think this series just keeps getting better and better. It’s refreshing to read such a low-angst book from time-to-time. Elle Keaton writes the best romantic suspense but she does a darn fine job with this type of story, too. I’m looking forward to reading more in this series and I hope the next one is about Bennett’s brother, Elliot.
