KYLE
I can’t believe I let my best friend talk me into being auctioned off for charity. But when I get a look at the guy who placed the winning bid, I feel like I’m the one who snagged the top prize.
AUSTIN
I didn’t get to where I am by letting opportunities slip through my fingers. When I learn that Kyle Pressgrove will be part of the bachelor auction taking place during All-Star weekend, that’s the kind of chance that you grab ahold of, and I have no intention of letting go.
With my career on the line and the possibility of Kyle being traded to a team half-way across the country, things between us might be over before they’ve even begun. I’d give anything to keep Kyle in my life, but everything might not be enough.

So good!
Keeping Kyle is part of the Hockey Allies Bachelor Bid shared world. The books can be read in any order but Keeping Kyle also has characters from Guarding Garrett in it. So, if you plan to read both books I’d start with Guarding Garrett, but you don’t have to read that to enjoy Keeping Kyle.
The story has a workaholic CEO of a tech company and a hot hockey player who can’t let go of the feeling the he has to be the man of the family.
Austin is a huge fan of Kyle and follows his career closely; his company even sponsors his hockey team, the Detroit Arsenal. They went to high school together and Austin admired him from afar. He’s excited to watch the NHL All-Star Game in person and then to attend the Bachelor auction where he hopes to win a date with Kyle.
Kyle loves hockey and playing for the Arsenal. Unfortunately, it looks like he might be getting traded. After his father died when he was only eight, people told him he was now the man of the family – a role it still takes a little too seriously. So moving away from Detroit and his mom isn’t something he wants to do.
Kyle and Austin really hit it off when they first meet, before the auction. After Austin wins a date with Kyle things get even better except for one thing – Austin seems to always be late. Punctuality means a lot to Kyle and the fact that Austin can’t seem to let go of his phone long enough to be on time for their meet ups really bothers him.
Keeping Kyle is a really great story that brought up a lot of emotions for me. It takes Austin and Kyle a while to get on the same page so they can find their HEA but they manage to do it and I loved reading their journey.
