When filthy is oh so freeing.
We are first introduced to Brew and Addy in Dirty Bastard. I couldn’t wait to read their story when I finished it. So it’ll be no surprise that the first part of Filthy Bastard runs concurrently with Dirty Bastard. You also get a chance to learn a bit more about Brew and Addy’s personal histories. Both stories can be read as a stand alone.
Isacc “Brew” Decker was the heir apparent to the Decker Creameries fortune… that is until he decided to protect his younger sister from her rapist and ended up doing time for it. Worst of all, his family condoned the deed and threw him to the curb. Seven years between juvie and prison and now his only family are the Grim Bastards MC. He’s risen in the ranks of the MC to the position of Sergeant at Arms. When a kidnapping goes all over sideways, Brew finds himself protecting the best friend bystander that got caught in the middle and falling for her a bit more each day they spend in each other’s company. This sassy redhead with killer curves has Brew ready to take on an old lady for better or worse. Unfortunately, her body is saying yes, yes, yes but that isn’t stopping her from running as far and as fast as she can when her freedom is granted.
Adyson Sloan ended up along for the ride when the Grim Bastards decided to kidnap her best friend, Trix. If it weren’t for the terror she holds for how her pregnant sister will pay for her absence she’d be enjoying every moment of her time with the Grim Bastards and their sexy Sergeant at Arms. If she only had the choice she’d be staying with Brew when their captivity ends, but with her sister’s well-being on the line, Addy will do anything necessary to make sure her absence doesn’t endanger Alex. Even if it means shredding her self-esteem, living hell on earth and kowtowing to every demand of her self-centered parents and abusive brother in law. One night in Brew’s arms was the best freedom Addy has ever known but now she’s resigned to doing whatever it takes until she can see her sister gets the life-saving surgery she needs and freedom from her SOB brother in law.
Filthy Bastard is gritty. It’s violent. But most of all it is an emotional rollercoaster. Be forewarned that the story deals with rape and abuse. If this is a trigger for you, you may want to avoid reading it. I absolutely fell in love with Brew and Addy. If these first two in the series are an indication of what the rest of the series hold in store for its readers, then I am totally on board because I couldn’t put them down.
