After finding out that Piers from Claiming his Chance was in fact, a dragon in a wolf shifter MMA fighting ring I was so waiting to hear his story. I have a thing for dragon shifters. I think I have always had a thing about the very fiery nature of dragons. If someone has an explanation for why we gravitate to a creature so dangerous please tell me… then again maybe I don’t really want to know. It’s enough that they are the embodiment of strength, majesty and power. The quintessential alpha. Who in the heck wouldn’t want one at their back or in some cases standing before them guarding against all comers? Piers is one of those you’d definitely want guarding your back and stepping between you and all the dangers in life.A dragon raised in a wolf pack, Piers left his pack behind with Trinity, the heroine from Claiming His Chance. The two had been inseparable for years posing as mates until Trinity found her true mate, Cahill. Now Trinity and Cahill have moved on and Piers remains at The Pack House conquering all comers and trying to worm his way into the good graces of Doc Jane. Unlike the completely feral dragons raised in a dragon enclave, Piers has a sense of his humanity. He has control. That very control though is pushed to the limits when he discovers his mate is threatened. Another dragon has been brought into his territory and made a claim on his mate. This is one dragon that will do whatever it takes to claim his prize… and the prize is the love of a mate that chooses him in return.

Jane may be The Pack House doctor but she isn’t there totally by choice. Long ago she made a pact with the devil… or Mick, the owner of the fight ring as the case might be. Mick offered to pay her way through medical school in exchange for her working for him. All fine until Mick loosed his wolf and scared her father into a medical trauma that now requires constant medical attention. And now Jane is stuck in servitude to the nasty alpha if she wants to see her father cared for and no further recurrences. In all her years of servitude, no one has rattled her quite the way Tidal does. Hmmm, Tidal… the name Piers is called and the only name she allows herself to call him. Because calling him by his real name means acknowledging how much he gets to her. And now Mick has thrown her to the dragons… or rather one nasty dragon he hopes will stir things up in the ring and knock Tidal off his reigning throne. But as Jane falls deeper in love with Piers she finds she’ll do whatever it takes to make sure he comes out on top even if that means telling him to leave.

Things are going to get brutal before the end. A dragon doesn’t relinquish his claimed prize and Jane has been claimed by two dragons. Someone is going down and it won’t be her dragon! As usual, Ms. Leigh has penned a worthy romance I couldn’t put down. If you love dragon shifters as much as I do, you’re going to love this one. I’m not sure what’s in store in the Feral Breed Followers series but you can bet I’ll be waiting for the next one when it hits the shelves.
