Things are looking bleak for the Manchester family and their allies. Death surrounds them as the rogues move in for the kill. In the midst of all the chaos the games continue. Rayne is on a time table and so is the rest of the family. In The Battle Begins and the Games Continue Rayne finally chooses her mate. She also uncovers a conspiracy perpetrated by some of the contestants for her hand in marriage. Despite everything, happily ever after is within her grasp if she can just survive the rogue attack.
This is the fifth installment of a six part romantic serial. Each part offers up romance, action, comedy, adventure, intrigue and suspense as the Manchester siblings attempt to meet their deceased father’s stipulation in his will.
She has also realized that there are definite second runner ups that make the best of friends. Another is better suited to someone else even if it isn’t the way she envisioned things working out. Throughout it all though we see Rayne growing by leaps and bounds. She has definitely become more decisive and shown an encouraging level of leadership herself.
I won’t give away spoilers but know that even having made her decision, Rayne’s trials aren’t over. This one leaves you on a cliffhanger and impatient to see her with her mate permanently. So far, this is my favorite of the serial episodes. While all the previous episodes had plenty of sweet sexual tension this one really took things to that next level. I can’t wait to read the final episode, Alpha’s Call. So while I’m not usually one for serial romances this one has definitely kept me intrigued and following along. I’m sure if you like paranormal romances with quite a dash of humor and suspense you’re going to love this one.
